A Letter from John & Lydia of The Journey Africa:
With Easter now behind us, we are truly well into 2012. So much speculation abounds about this fabulous year, with many buying into the media hype of movies such as the disaster movie 2012 while others take the stance of “it has nothing to do with us”. Our view is that it is an exciting time of change and possibility during which we have a responsibility to play our own personal part in being the best that we can in any moment and trusting that this will be reflected back at us from each and every soul we come in contact with. We have a huge and consistent prayer going out from ourselves personally that the work that we do gets a strong and positive foothold in both the Government and private sector to facilitate a real change from the current “winner take all”, greed and separation mentality to a much more vast and expansive inclusive “we” consciousness in which all are empowered to produce their own best in any given moment and situation.
Stop the Food Fight
Recently Lydia and I were privileged to go to Holland and attend a really specific four day Stop the Food Fight seminar with Kevin. This really happened on a wing and a prayer and I remain constantly in awe of the way the Universe opens up to possibility when we just get out of the way and trust. The course itself was fabulous, with the entire delegate list being made up of Journey Training and Qualified Practitioners. The purpose was to take the STFF work to a different level, giving people a vast array of real tools to take back to family, friends and clients. Having sat and taught so many advanced Journey Retreats such as the JP programme and Visionary Leadership, I suppose I was a bit blasé as to what I would really uncover in terms of this. Yes I am carrying a bit of excess weight and I know I eat quickly and I know I sometimes have a glass of wine too many and I also know that if I go to gym and/or run again I can drop this off in a couple of months. Like I said, blasé and probably a bit arrogant. I was totally knocked out by what came up, issues around food and the consumption and non consumption came up thick and fast. The more that these were recognised it soon became apparent that issues around food extended far beyond just consumption into all areas such as relationships, work, life in general and just about any other area that I attempted any sort of control. Of course we used the tools that you all mostly know to clear this. Since the course three weeks ago I have dropped three kilograms without actually being aware of changing anything. What I do notice is old habits are falling away, such as guzzling down crisps whenever they are available. Just this Sunday we celebrated Easter with our family and my sister was shocked at what I ate (or rather did not eat). The old compulsion to just sit and eat all day was just not there and I was completely satisfied and relaxed with it. It struck me that conscious eating has become unconsciously available.
We have decided to bring this to South Africa right now. Based on our experience with Kevin in Holland we are going to be doing the same seminar this month over the next long weekend to enable as many people as possible to attend without taking leave. The purpose will be to again give the tools and methods to people who have gone through the No Ego retreat to take back to self, family, friends and clients. The results are really fabulous, so if you feel called to join us please contact the office for details.
Further to this we will be having a series of three different consecutive STFF seminars for the general public. This will take place one month apart from each other and offer a progression to deeper and deeper work based on all the tools of STFF. This will start on 26/27 May and continue through June and July. A great place for family and clients who want to step into a new conscious and healthy lifestyle. At a later date a five day retreat is planned where we will spend our time in really good company, eating consciously, exercising, becoming aware of all aspect of nutrition as well as massage etc.
The Journey Intensive
With Brandon’s last visit to SA we were introduced to the latest work within The Journey. This has changed the Emotional and Physical work to really embrace and encompass the three different types of people who we are privileged to process, resulting in much easier and deeper processing from the outset. We will be presenting this at the next Journey Intensive which will be held in Cape Town on 12 and 13 May with the Advanced Skills on the Monday as usual. Please contact us if you would like to join us in Cape Town as well as we ask you to encourage friends and relatives to experience what you have.
The Elephants of Gonarazhou
Some of you may have seen our Facebook posts about these Ellies. They have been severely traumatized over the years and one of our JP’s, Marietta in Harare, has shared her experiences of working with the Ellies and her passion and commitment to us humans restoring the trust and faith of these magnificent creatures through the use of The Journey in Consciousness. Every 15th of the month at 20H00 CAT there is a global meditation called for where you invite a connection to the consciousness of the Ellies and work with them in a meditative way. We strongly urge you to participate and then to share your experiences on Facebook with others. There is also an opportunity at the end of May to actually go to the Gonarazhou park in Southern Zimbabwe to work with others in the actual home of the Ellies. A four to five day event is planned so again if called please contact us, hook up on Facebook and get behind this really awe inspiring event. If I manage to get out the way and the Universe responds positively then I will definitely be there.
These are some of the ways in which we see ourselves really contributing to 2012. Please join us wherever you can and together we will make a real difference.
With much love, blessing and prayers for an awesome time in the rest of 2012,
John and Lydia
